WE BRING TRUST TO THE TABLE.
WE BRING TRUST
TO THE TABLE.
Helping forge bonds between global startups and Japan
We invest in venture capital funds, and help their portfolio companies succeed in Japan.
For startups, expanding into a new market is a tremendous undertaking. We’re here to help the portfolio companies of our partners tackle this head on and succeed.
On behalf of our Japan-based LPs, we invest in VC funds around the world and create lasting partnerships between startups and operating companies in Japan.
We understand that absolute trust is at the core of all successful partnerships. That’s why we work for both sides.
Beginning in 2019, AT Partners has helped some of Japan’s largest corporations achieve their open innovation goals through partnering with incredible startups and investing in Israel’s leading venture capital funds.
In the Summer of 2021, we expanded that effort and are actively investing in venture capital funds in the US, Europe and beyond.
We’re grateful to work with the world’s leading investors and operators.
Our LPs include several large Japanese corporations. Our passion lies in helping them achieve their strategic goals via open innovation – aggressively working with the startups that are building the future.
This work is challenging and inspiring, and we’ve optimized our team to excel in bridging the gaps that come along with cross-border partnerships. That’s why we leave the startup investing to the real experts: the funds with whom we are blessed to call partners.
Pitango Early Stage is focused on building global seed stage startups out of Israel. We focus on deep tech, and exceptional entrepreneurs looking to transform industries while using groundbreaking technologies. We look at the Asian market as a great opportunity for us and for our Portfolio Companies. The partnership with AT PARTNERS allows us, and our portfolio companies, to deepen the exposure and create strategic partnerships in the Asian market. We are extremely excited to partner with AT PARTNERS, and look forward to building great success stories between Israel, Japan and the Asian market at large.
The world is getting smaller. So should the obstacles to succeed in Japan.
As technology has broken down barriers to connect, both established corporations and scrappy startups now have global-scale business within reach. We believe that the cultural, language and other differences – the last mile in building lasting business partnerships – are critically important to get right.
And we’re working on ways to optimize this part of the journey. We’re passionate about making it easier for everyone – not just our partners – to launch their business or engage with companies in Japan. Look out for open resources from us in this space in the future.
Our team is small, but our experiences are diverse. We’ve built products and businesses, advised on deals, and created partnerships that last decades.
Based in Tokyo, we work directly within the investment and corporate development teams of our LPs. We help make sense of the breakneck speed of innovation that startups around the world are creating. We innovate ourselves as well, building products such as ATDB to make more successful partnerships.
We’re a small team of builders, advisors, and dreamers.
